Computer Lab and Computer User Group
Join us in the Computer Lab A, at the Alvin Sherman Library, Nova Southeastern University (2nd floor). The lab is open from 12 PM to 1:15 PM. A short 15-minute break will occur before the General Meeting, which begins at 1:30 PM followed by our Program at 2:00 PM. Check our Events calendar for updates on current and upcoming events.
Available Resources:
- 24 computers with internet access to genealogy resources. (You may also bring your own laptop)
- NovaCat, the NSU library's online catalog, where you can search the Genealogy Collection located on the 4th floor.
- Free access to online research "Links" for genealogy and Alvin Sherman Library databases.
During the lab, GSBC members are available to assist you with any genealogy-related questions. It's a perfect opportunity to learn, share tips, and improve your research skills.
Library Cards: To access certain programs, you may want an NSU library card. Broward County residents, employees, or students are eligible for a free card. Just bring proof of residence or employment to the 1st-floor circulation desk to get started. Be sure to mention that you are with the Genealogical Society of Broward County (GSBC). With a library card, you can check out books from the genealogical collection and even access some resources from home!
